We are calling the next 2 weeks ” Training Camp”. We will be reviewing the TEKS they have learned throughout this year. We want them to work hard these last few weeks of 3rd grade, but are hoping to make it enjoyable for the students.
The students brought home a letter today for you to fill out the back with some words of encouragement for your child as the end of year tests approach. The note says that we will put them on the desk the days of testing. We will not be able do that, but we will put on the wall for them to see and be encouraged.
Can you believe that your child is 18 school days away from completing the 3RD GRADE?
Tuesday will be group picture day. Information will come home on Monday.
Our last progress report for the year is coming home today with students.
Friday we are going to have a “Read-In” day for all the hard work the kids have been doing in reading.
They may bring any of the following: blanket, quilt, pillow, towel, stuffed animal to use in their Reading class tomorrow.
Common Assessments are coming home today with a letter. Please look it over, sign the letter and return to school tomorrow with your child.

Thanks for the great job you do with your kids.
Our time for field day is 8:15-11:30 . Parents are welcome, but you must park in the Intermediate parking lot. You may sign your child out from me and take them with you after our Field Day is over.
KONA ICE AT FIELD DAY
The truck will be parked next to the visitors concession stand in the Elementary parking lot.
4th grade will go at 8:15 during enhancement.
5th grade will go at 10:45 during enhancement.
3rd grade will go after their field day activities are concluded.
Parents and siblings can also purchase for the same price as students but should be at the back of your line.
Tuesday students should not bring their backpack to school. We will load the buses from the Gym, and will not being go up to the classroom.
I will send a gallon ziplock bag on Monday ( for my homeroom students) with your child’s name on it for their lunch and drink to go in (so they will fit in my ice chest.) NO lunch boxes or reusable drink bottles are to be brought.
Even if you plan to meet us at the Zoo, please send your child’s lunch to school Tuesday morning. In the event your plans should change and you can not be at the Zoo, you child will still have their lunch.
We are excited to go see the amazing sights at the zoo and hope to see parents there.
Thank you all for supporting your school!
Students are bringing home a BLUE note today with information about our field trip on April 10. We will leave the school at 8:15 and will leave the zoo at 1:00 to return to school.
Students will be responsible for bringing a sack lunch (NO TYPE OF LUNCH KIT) and a drink. I found when my children were in school if I would freeze a water bottle, then wrap it in foil, it was thawed enough by lunch time to drink, but it was still cold. Packing the lunch in a large ziplock bag is a great way to carry.
The note in their folder offers a choice to purchase and pre-order a sack lunch from our cafeteria. It needs to be returned next week in order for the cafeteria to plan ahead.
Please return the permission slip on the bottom of the note next week.
Our Easter Party is Thursday the 28th from 8:30-9:30. Students may bring an Easter bag, basket, or bucket. Each student needs to bring a small egg for each student in the class. (19) The eggs can be filled with a treat such as; erasers, wrapped candy, Hershey’s Kisses, etc. NO CANDY SHOULD CONTAIN NUTS. Please be sure the eggs are taped. We will not have an egg hunt, but will give out our treats in the classroom.
You may send bag, bucket, or basket and eggs beginning on Monday.
You may sign your child out after the party.
